Connecting your sprinkler controller

How the integration works

Lawn Focus never touches your sprinklers directly from a photo review. The AI proposes a change, you approve it, and only then does the integration write new run times to your controller — scaled from your normal baseline, never invented from scratch. Every change expires after its set duration and your controller drifts back to the baseline schedule.

OpenSprinkler (beta — assisted setup)

OpenSprinkler is fully supported today: approved changes sync to the controller automatically twice a day. During the friends & family beta, we do this setup together — it takes about 20 minutes and needs your controller's local address and a baseline of your current program. Message Steven to schedule it.

RainMachine (in development)

RainMachine is the next integration being built — its local API is a perfect fit for the same bridge architecture OpenSprinkler uses. If you own one, flag it during onboarding for early access. The full brand-by-brand status board lives on the Integrations page.

Rachio, Hydrawise, B-hyve, Rain Bird, Home Assistant

On the roadmap. Until your controller is supported, use manual mode — it's less automatic but loses none of the intelligence.

Manual mode (works with every controller ever made)

• Approve a proposal like normal — it shows on the Zones tab as an active adjustment with a percentage.
• The Zones tab shows each zone's current recommendation in minutes per session.
• Set those minutes on your controller (or your hose timer, or your watering habit).
• When the adjustment expires, the badge disappears — set the controller back to normal.
