OpenSprinkler

Live today — assisted setup

by OpenThings

OpenSprinkler is the open-source irrigation controller, and the first hardware Lawn Focus shipped with. Approved watering proposals write to the controller twice a day, scaled from your baseline programs, with a full audit trail.

How it works with Lawn Focus

  • You approve a proposal in the app; it becomes an active adjustment with an expiry date.
  • A bridge on your home network pulls the adjustment-only watering plan and rewrites program durations on the controller — baseline × adjustment, nothing invented.
  • OpenSprinkler's Zimmerman weather adjustment keeps handling daily weather scaling independently.
  • When adjustments expire, the bridge restores exact baseline durations automatically.

Getting set up

Beta setup (about 20 minutes, together)

During the friends & family beta we set this up with you: we record your current programs as the baseline, install the sync bridge, and run a dry-run before anything touches the controller. You'll need your controller's local address and password.

Every feature works today in manual mode

Photo reviews, proposals, and guardrails don't wait on hardware.
